Tools Inc. earned its reputation by developing deep draw dies for the Lawn and Garden, Motorcycle and Appliance industries, all of which require cosmetic class “A” surface finishes. This requires extensive knowledge of restraining bead placement in non-visible areas of the draw panel and the ability to predict thinning as well as thickening of the material being drawn, whether it is low carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminum. To assist making the metal flow as required, Tools Incorporated utilizes various types of tool coatings on both draw surfaces and the draw punch to reduce friction as well as to protect the cosmetic surface from aggressive scratching and galling.

All of our deep draw die designs are validated by performing a forming simulation and reviewing the results of the forming limit diagram before we begin fabrication of the die. This information is then provided to our customers to identify potential problem areas and to assist them in making an informed decision based on science as opposed to opinion.
