The success of Tools, Inc. rose from the vision of Merle Snyder, who founded Tools, Inc. as a tool and die shop for the lawn and garden industry in 1957.
His basic principle of providing quality, dependability and quick service has proven to be the success of Tools, Inc. Since that time our family owned business has grown into a multi-faceted international company, servicing a widearray of industries.
Our modern 70,000 square foot facility is located in Sussex, Wisconsin near Interstate
I-94, which provides easy access to shipping corridors.
Tools Inc. offers complete tooling solutions for your parts requirements.Every tool we design and build is backed by years of proven success. We know what it takes to tool the part, and we’re equipped to do the best job possible every step of the way. Consultation and extensive planning are incorporated as part of the pre-design process.
We combine traditional and state of the art technologies for total control of the fabrication process. Our CNC machining centers and boring bars are capable of handling work pieces up to 20,000 pounds.

With mechanical and hydraulic presses up to 1000 tons and bed sizes to 60” x 108” If part geometry does not lend itself to traditional trim dies or the volume will not justify the cost Tools can solve that by trimming the parts on one of four duel cabin 5-axis laser centers. The lasers produce up to 3500 watts of power and are capable of cutting up to .325 thick steel as well as .125 aluminum or stainless steel.
With mechanical and hydraulic presses up to 1000 tons and bed sizes to 60” x 108” Tools is equipped to run medium to large draw dies as well as single point and progressive dies. Our capabilities extend cost saving efforts to untraditional trim dies by trimming the parts on one of four duel cabin 5-axis laser centers. Tools Inc. has stamping presses up to 1000 tons for medium to large deep draw cosmetic parts as well as four 5-axis laser centers for parts that don’t lend themselves to conventional trim dies. Tools also offers welding that include Mig and Spot welding as well as Pem Setting and Stud Welding

If parts require additional components Tools fabrication department can provide assemblies which require welding, riveting or gluing per the customer specifications in a short run or high volume production quantities. Tools Inc. manual and robotic mig welding expertise lies in joining thin, cosmetic, carbon steel components, while maintaining the capability for welding thicker materials and different material types. The weld area also uses resistance welding equipment to spot weld or projection weld carbon steel, stainless steel and galvanized materials and hardware with a 100kVa maximum capacity. For joining dissimilar materials, assembly word centers offer riveting or adhesive bonding services with the additional capability of installing clinch type hardware.
As an added convenience Tools has established a supply chain to polish, plate, e-coat or powder coat finished assemblies.
Tools Inc. offers Five Axis Laser cutting on three Prima 2200 watt Rapido CNC machines. A major advantage of this technology is the ability to continuously cut three dimensional shapes perpendicular to the surface of the material. The Five Axis Laser will cut in multiple planes in the same setup.
From our experience with Five Axis Lasers, we know we are saving our customers money and time with equal or better quality results.
